About

  • I'm Kristen, a clumsy but determined home cook and crafter living in the Boston area with my husband, B, and I have an interest in all things food and craft.

This blog was created to keep track of my various projects and adventures. They may not all be successes, but my goal is to remain unintimidated by whatever engages my curiosity.

Mini Halloween Pom Pom Garland

This craft is part of the 13 Days of Halloween project. Download number templates for the project, as well as the bug template for Day 3, in the tips and supplies post. Links to all of the crafts from this project can be found in the main 13 Days of Halloween post.

Mini pom pom garlands are super quick and easy to make, and you can adjust the length to any size you need. Use them as garlands on mini Halloween trees, or hang on the fridge with the kids’ Halloween drawings. Change up the pom pom colors and use as a garland on your Christmas tree, too!

How to Make a Mini Pom Pom Garland

Supplies Needed

a hand sewing needle

black thread

mini pom poms (I found them in the “impulse” bins at the front of a Jo-Ann craft store)

glue dots

Instructions

1. Thread a hand sewing needle with the length of thread you’ll need for the garland, leaving a few inches of extra thread on each side for hanging. Thread the pom poms onto the thread and space them about 1″ to 1 1/2″ apart along the thread, leaving additional space between two of the poms for the calendar number.

2. Fold over the scored flap of the calendar number, and attach it to the thread using glue dots.
